So, what was Mister Mo up to in the mobile last week?

Mo and Samuel Adeniyi

For starters, I was scheduled to attend the exclusive BlackBerry Passport launch on Wednesday. That event was however postponed. I was looking forward to seeing a production model of the Passport and take it for a spin. I still am. But then, the launch is now holding this week, so the wait won’t be long.

On Thursday, I spoke at Campign2Insight, a digital media strategy seminar conducted by Abiodun Thorpe’s RainyLemon. It was a beautiful event and I had a blast with participants. I shared on “Crafting a mobile strategy for business”, answered questions, networked and grabbed a bite before heading back to base.

Here on MOBILITY, we also published our first video review this week. In the video, I reviewed the Infinix Zero smartphone. You can expect more reviews going forward. Our next video review will feature the Samsung Galaxy K zoom. Don’t go away.

And come Friday morning, I was at the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also here in Lagos. The Note 4 is an impressive phablet. Of course, Samsung has done well with the Note range. I owned the Note II and still remember it as one of the best mobiles I ever used. The Note 4 is not just an over-sized smartphone. There are a number of nifty customisations that Samsung has implemented to take advantage of the large display and stylus. It was nice to see the demonstrations. Hopefully, I should get my hands on one for a review here on MOBILITY.

My week wasn’t done yet. While many of you were at a wedding ceremony or some other party, or at home under a duvet in that cold, wet weather, I was at a bloggers’ event hosted by Infinix Mobility. Infinix has some serious stuff on the way. Those of us present got to see a new device that will be hitting the market in the next two weeks, and this is colourful stuff. We also got to see the mockup of a very premium (and I mean iPhone-grade premium) Infinix smartphone that will be hitting the streets next year. Those guys are not playing.

The photo at the top of this post is of Samuel Adeniyi and myself at the bloggers’ meet.

Well, that was how my week went. See you next weekend for another roundup of my week in mobile.
